College is not worth the cost and students should not make an investment on it. People pay a lot of prices in college; it does not mean that all their investments are worthwhile at the end of graduation, but they need the time to make their cost worth it. People have many investments in colleges such as money for tuition, lunch, gas, and time to complete the assignment every semester in order to get a grade for high GPA requirements. Students study hard to get a high GPA because the school can evaluate the students whether high or low GPA to make their academic journey worthwhile. Students pay the tuition before they start the classes, but when they fail the class, they have to pay it again. People spend time in college to earn a degree and still cannot get a job. Therefore, college is not a good investment because college is expensive to cover, some individuals are not college material, college graduate students cannot work outside of their majors from the school when there are many jobs that do not require a college degree, and going to college is a waste of time.
College is not a good investment for people to invest their money into because the college tuition is so expensive for the student to pay. Some students can drop out of college when they cannot afford the college fees every semester. College institutions owe students expensive tuition because the institution is a place for job availability for many people. Institutions have many departments to raise the funds to provide the information such as healthcare, research department, and etc. It also requires the maintenance such as building constructions, Electricity, cleaning service, and landscaping. Institutions need people as employees to work in each department. Thus, college tuition can be increased every year. For instance, in the article, “Why Is College So Damned Expensive” Mark wrote, “Between 1980 and 2010, college costs went up three times faster than the Consumer Price Index. They even increased twice as fast as the cost of medical care,” (Engler 1). College fees can go so overpriced in each year the same as a medical care cost when a lot of students go to college to be the educated people in their life. College can be expensive because it has the system to put a lot of pressure on students to maintain the institution, and the institution owner wants to create more jobs on campus. Students cannot stay longer in school to complete their education when the college has a new system to increase tuition every year. Therefore, students think that they can spend more money on school even though it is not the real path to direct them for future success. Students are more stressed when they do not have enough money to cover their tuition. They can over think of spending money on college tuition, losing their parent’s money and studying as hard as they can, but they get a lower grade. If college is a good investment for many people, students cannot drop out of school. They work hard in school to complete it. Then, they can get a job based on their educational background and majors. Students can go to college to earn a degree if their parents and family are rich and able to support them.
Everyone is not the college material to stick with the school until they complete the Development and four years degree or higher. Some people can leave school when they get a lower grade. Then, they focus on their talent to change their life to be successful even more famous in the World. College is worth the cost for smart people like a doctor, nurse, and engineer because these people can find a high paying job, then their cost from college can be worthwhile at the end of completing the college. People can be successful without a college degree even attending college if they focus on their talent. For example, in article, “From Homeless,” Emily Strohm writes that “these days the comedian, author and talk show host is at the helm of an empire estimated to be worth $100 million, a fortune amassed from lucrative stand-up appearances, bestselling books and movie adaptations, and multiple TV and radio gigs.” (Strohm 3). Many people know Steve Harvey is a successful person as TV stars in this country, and he has larger network with other eleven countries even though he did not good at school, and drop out the school even he was a homeless in three years because he uses his gift as comedian to start his vision to be on the TV. Most people do not realize that they have a gift to use in their life to fulfill God’s destiny for them to be successful because of everyone born on this earth with a different purpose. Therefore, if students are not capable of studying and discovering new things based on their academic courses or major, they should drop out of school to nurse their gifts and talents to figure out the path of success in their life. Some people have a gift to use them for living even though they are not good in school.
College is not worth the cost because college graduate students can work outside of school when they cannot find a job based on their educational background. Also, there are many jobs that do not require a college degree available. Students who study in the college based on their major follow my educational plan, but they cannot find a job based on all the courses and major areas they study in the school. When the college graduates cannot find a job based on college courses, they find the job outside of what they have learned in college instead of unemployment without income. The first two factors, the chosen college, and a major focus on potential benefits, but those benefits must be compared to costs to determine whether a college education is worthwhile. For example, in the article, “is college worth the cost? Yes, but not always”, Bridget Terry Long writes that “while many students do not work in the field of their college major, typically, students majoring in engineering and the sciences reap the largest benefits. However, income is not the only thing that varies by major.” (Long 1). College graduate students can work on any job if they are willing to work in any field for their income because people work on the job whether based on educational background or outside of college degree just for their income to support their family. The majority of going to college is to find a better life and they want to understand the concept of complexity around them. Therefore, some people make a lot of investment in college by time, money, and energy to put together until they complete their education, but their investment is not a determination for them to get a high paying job. College is not a straight path to get a better life based on academic majors and courses.
The students spend time in college earning a degree and still seek a job to make their worth in their life. A student spends so much time in college; it does not mean that they will get a job and be happier and successful quickly as they want it to happen in their life. College can take students longer just to figure out which path they should take to fulfill the final destination of value in life. Some people after graduating college from the age of twenty-three to twenty-five, they can get a job after the ages of forty to forty-five while waiting for a long time to apply the knowledge in their workplaces. People going to college spend so much time even though people can find their way to success without spending time in college. For example, in the article, “College Is a Waste of Time”, Dale states that “one can be successful and earn a lot of money even without going to college and getting a degree.” (Stephens 1). People can find success when they have their own skill and talents to use in their life to make themselves worthwhile by themselves through commitment that they can spend the time on what they are capable of doing on their own. When they have a plan to make the experiment and practice based on their skill and talents, they can follow up with their plan or schedule to work on the project. Therefore, they redeem their time on one thing to make excellent permanent talents rather than spend a lot of hours in different classes and courses in college. People should realize that they are taking the wrong courses when they follow the education plan as college students require to complete the college because all those courses are not determined on their future career. They can be unemployed while they are seeking a job because of their educational background, even if they cannot find a job quickly.
Some people think that college is worth the cost even though it is not because they know that college can direct them a path to success in their life. They think that college can help them to get more knowledge about culture, philosophy, history from the past to apply them for the future when there are many fields available to work on them. People work in different fields whether in the school as a teacher, hospital as a nurse, technology company as an engineer, and technician. All these fields need a specific knowledge and skill set required before they step into the job. Even people can qualify if they have experience and a good organized resume on the job based on the previous job experience that is related to the next job. Therefore, they think that college can help them with the knowledge to find a high paying job in big companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon, and large hospitals when these companies are looking for people to have more knowledge and experiences on the job to keep the company growing each year. People go to college because it can help them to get a better knowledge and skill.
College is not worth the cost for everyone to achieve it because college is expensive for students to pay their tuition every semester. College is not only one path for students to be successful in their life when some people are not good at the school to study better. People can find a job without a college degree when there are many jobs available even, they have a degree, but they can work outside of their major and education background. Students spend so much time in college while they are completing their education. Maybe college is worth the cost for smart people such as doctors, nurses, engineers, and pilots because these people can find a job easily when the company really needs them to work in the field based on their educational background. Maybe college is a place for the rich people to invest money for their children and family. College could be worthwhile if people go to college through commitment whether failure or the excellence of an academic to achieve a degree. Therefore, College is not worth it for everyone.
