Story begins with in John 14 :22-32 saying that “immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is me. Don’t be afraid. Peter replied, “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” Jesus said “come,” Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” The idea from these verses tell us to just look up to Jesus to walk and face anything like Jesus. Peter was sinking into water because he looked to win and waves, imagine; if he was still looking at Jesus and believing that he can walk on the water. He was still walking on the water just like Jesus. When we look at Jesus how big and powerful he is over our life rather than look over circumstances we face in life. When we walk by faith, we walk on the problems not under problems. God does not want us as his people to fall in the devil’s hand to hell. That is why God sent Jesus for us to have eternal life when we trust in God through Jesus Christ. We do not have to fall in life. The question is who do you want to believe first, God and yourself or anyone and anything around you? I will tell you what I think you should do in life.
I think we all have to believe in God through Jesus Christ because believing in Jesus is the remedy for our fear and worry. I want to tell you that you have to believe in God and yourself first before you believe in anyone or anything else. You are already approved by God and you are His sons and daughter. God has formed you in your mom’s womb before you were physically born to this world.
You are his masterpiece. Just believe in God and yourself that you always feel counted. Always know who you are in Christ. You’re worth more than any gold and diamond on earth you’ve ever known and seen everywhere. Nobody can prove you right or wrong. Just believe that God is directing your path because everything about you is not an accident. For sure people around you could evaluate your current situation based on how you look and whether you are rich or poor, but people’s opinions of you are not determined by who you are today and who you will become tomorrow when your life goes forward toward your real life destination. You are always on the palm of God’s hand. He protects you from evil and dangerous spirits around you. Even if you can go through the fire, only your God almighty is with you in every dangerous situation you face on this earth. If you put God first in your life and before you do everything else, you are going to feel strong and enjoy life.
We all are humans that have so many challenges and obstacles still happening in our life, but we all can go through the obstacles. Some of us have a lot of worry and fears when we face unexpected situations in our life. Today, there are so many things that we are all concerned about, for instance some people can be scared of car accidents. Some people might be worried about getting laid off from the job and they are so scared of their boss getting fired. Other people worry about their health when they work at a labor job.
All these thoughts are not real. These thoughts are unrealistic because as we all know, the devil is a liar. The Devil is playing on our mind with a negative perspective based on what we are facing on this earth. Therefore, do not focus on problems, but focus on Jesus to build a stronger faith. We all worry about anything, however we just believe in the Lord that everything will be fine under His control, your life is such as a boat on the waves of the sea. so, every situation you face in life is a wave that shakes you to make you fear and worry of false evidence appearing real.
The wave of any circumstance is not going to take you down. You are not going to sink deep into the water, but you will walk through the wave of the water and you will still enjoy the life that has been given. When you live inside of God, there is no fear of death and worry of the unknown, however you will be in God in any circumstance and you will live a peaceful and enjoyable life even though your life is shaking through the waves of every situation you face. You will always be upon the waves.
